New website for photographer Eric Victor

By | Web design, web site design | No Comments

Eric Victor is a Master Photographer based in Brisbane. He has worked at the highest level of commercial photography for the past 35 years.

Eric was after a simple but specific design… Behind the scene is actually a bit more complex than the looks suggest. I created a custom database coupled with an existing gallery script called TN3.

This website has special meaning to me. Eric is the first person I worked for in Australia. He became my mentor and not only taught me studio photography but also pushed me towards interactive design and programming (CDs, websites, etc.).

The first “multimedia” project I developed was an interactive CD-ROM for his portfolio. 15 years later I am glad he came back to me to create his new website.

new website for artist Stuart Clues

By | logo design, Search engine optimisation, Site redesign, Web design, web site design | No Comments

Stuart approached to redesign his outdated website. He wanted something simple and stylish, more contemporary.

As often is the case for artists, the design needed to be minimal. The art needs to do all the talking. Stuart was thrilled with the result.

“I wanted a webpage to act as an archive for my work and a point of reference. I looked through some websites to find a style and format that suited my style and stumbled across work completed by Loic.

From the outset Loic took the time to understand what I wanted and then set about building the site. He presented me with a concept and I loved it. Within a few very short weeks I had a beautiful webpage.

Loic was professional and the service was a great investment.”

Behind the scenes is a custom built Content Management System to manage the artworks. They can be created, edited, ordered very easily. The CMS is very small and specific to the artist’s needs. It means that it is really fast to load. Being custom made also means it is very secure (unlike WordPress for example).

Finally the homepage showcases Stuart’s latest work in a subtle sliding slideshow.

By | logo design, Web design, Wordpress | No Comments

Lovely new website and logo designed and built for Tallawarra, a luxury B&B in Tonimbuk, near Melbourne.

Janine and Andrey, the owners of Tallawarra, had seen my work for the Islington Hotel. After looking for a local web designer, they decided to give me a try.

It has been a pleasure working for them and I am sure it is the start of a long collaboration.

The work has included:

  • domain name strategy
  • logo design
  • website design
  • CMS implementation
  • digital imaging
  • social media strategy
  • SEO and online marketing
  • web and email hosting
